I hate to see Isaiah Thomas go or Jae Crowder and the #1 draft choice which should be a good one because it is the #1 from Brooklyn and whoever heard of Ante Zizic, but I say great trade for the Celtics. Come on this is Kyrie Irving they’re getting and he is the best player in the trade. Irving is three years younger than Thomas is too and he’s tied up for two years and there is a player option after the 2019-2020 season. Thomas is a free agent after this coming season. That in itself makes it worth it in my opinion. Thomas will be asking for a bundle. Celtics General Manager Danny Ainge had been criticized for hanging on to draft picks, but he pulled the trigger on this one. The Brooklyn pick could be a top three pick, but I still think the trade was worth it.

Does the trade make the Celtics better than Cleveland? Who knows? It doesn’t make them better than Golden State, but it’s a start and the Celtics at least on paper are better today than they were yesterday.

I agree with the people who say the NBA off-season has been more interesting than the season was!

Doug Fister with a 1 hitter last night. Who would’ve thought? That’s why baseball is so great! You never know!

Here is one for you and quite frankly I can’t believe my eyes:

ESPN broadcaster Robert lee will not work Virginia’s football season opener because of recent violence in Charlottesville sparked by the decision to remove a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee.

ESPN says Lee has been moved to Youngstown State’s game at Pittsburgh on the ACC Network on September 2nd. The network says the decision was made ” as the tragic events in Charlottesville were unfolding, simply because of the coincidence of his name.” This Robert Lee by the way is an Asian-American.

I don’t care where you stand politically, but if you don’t think that this is ridiculous and completely mind boggling, you my friend are an idiot!
