NSB, NSN Launch Friday Night Lights Series

HS Football Series Will Feature Spotlight Games Each Week

The Northeast Sports Network is excited to announce a partnership with Northfield Savings Bank that will bring a series of high school football games from Northwestern and Central Vermont to the internet this fall.

The Northfield Savings Friday Night Lights Series will feature a top regional game from each of the 10 Friday nights of the Vermont high school football season. The eight weeks of regular-season action begin August 31st when Essex takes on the new Burlington/South Burlington combined team, and the schedule will also include quarterfinal and semifinal playoff action on October 26th and November 2nd.

All the broadcasts will feature multiple camera angles and instant replay. They can be viewed live for free at www.NSNSports.net.

“NSN looks forward to the launch of our new Friday Night Light’s series,” said NSN President Eric Berry. “We’re excited to bring a focus to marquee matchups each week.”

Award-winning local sportscaster George Commo will be the primary commentator for the series, which is scheduled to include at least 13 high schools from around the state.

“Thanks to Northfield Savings Bank for helping us get these hard-working young athletes the exposure they deserve,” Commo said.
