The Celtics get the #1 pick in the NBA draft lottery so I would say the trade with Brooklyn turns out to be the biggest robbery since the Great Train Robbery or maybe the Brinks Robbery or at least the famous trade with the Warriors back in 1980. Remember that one? The Celtics traded the #1 pick to the Warriors for their #3 pick and Robert Parish. The #3 pick ended up being Kevin McHale and the #1 pick by the Warriors ended up being Joe Barry Carroll. Remember him? Not too many people do.

The #1 pick could be even more of a fleecing if Danny Ainge pulls off a trade similar to the one in 1980.

I forgot the Celtics once traded Ed Macauley for Bill Russell. Macauley was a very good player and is a Hall of Famer, but Bill Russell was… you know Bill Russell!
