MONTPELIER — The Vermont Principals Association has announced the seedings and matchups for the 2018 boys basketball tournaments which will get underway with Playdown Round action on Tuesday.

In Division One the undefeated defending state champion Rutland Raiders earned the number one seed and a bye directly into Friday night’s quarterfinals. Rice Memorial is the second seed, followed by number three Mt. Mansfield and number four St.Johnsbury.

In Division Two Fair Haven landed the first seed, followed by number two Lake Region, number three Milton and number four Montpelier.

In Division Three the top seed belongs to Windsor, followed by number two Williamstown, number three People’s Academy and number four Hazen Union.

In Division Four the top seed goes to Danville, followed by number two Sharon Academy, number three Poultney and number four Arlington.

The boys tournament will begin with 22 playdown games on Tuesday night.
