VPA Announces Seeds for Hockey and Girl’s Basketball Tournaments

MONTPELIER — The Vermont Principals Association has announced the seeding and pairings for the 2018 Girl’s Basketball and Boys and Girls Ice Hockey Tournaments.

In Girls Basketball St. Johnsbury Academy is top seeded in the Division One Tournament, followed by number two CVU, number three North Country and number four South Burlington.

In Divison Two Fair Haven earned the top seed, followed by number two Mt. Abraham, number three U-32 and number four Enosburg.

In Division Three the top seed goes to Hazen Union, followed by number two BFA-Fairfax, number three Windsor and number four Thetford.

In Division Four Mid Vermont Christian gets the top seed, followed by number two MSJ, number three West Rutland and number four Proctor.

In Boys Hockey Division One BFA-St. Albans is the top seed, followed by number two Essex, number three Stowe and number four Spaulding.

In Division Two Woodstock has the top seed, followed by number two Mt. Mansfield, number three Lyndon Institute and number four Harwood.

In Girls Hockey Division One the top seed goes to Essex, followed by number two BFA-St. Albans, number three Rutland and number four Rice.

In Divison Two Stowe gets the top seed, followed by number two South Burlington, number three Missisquoi and number four Woodstock.

The tournaments will get underway with 18 playdown round games on Tuesday night.
