Getting nervous yet? The Red Sox lead is down to 3 with a magic # still at 3  with 5 games to go.

The lead is the same today as it was last Friday  when there were 10 games to go so the lead is still the same with the games to go cut in half. That should make you feel a little bit better, but the Sox better be getting the good Rick Porcello tonight and not the bad Rick Porcello. Porcello is like a “box of chocolates”. You never know what you’re going to get. Chris Sale wasn’t exactly great last night either.

Ok one last thing from me on the NFL and the National Anthem. I  support freedom of speech of course and I sympathize with the various causes. I get that, but what difference does it make what the reason is? When you take a knee you are disrespecting the flag and the Anthem. There isn’t any criteria where on one hand you say this is OK because…. I’m sorry it doesn’t work that way.

I haven’t always paid attention to the Anthem either, but  I will be better. My lack of attention at times can be attributed to laziness, but that’s no excuse. Have your causes, but not at the expense of the Anthem and the flag. It’s just not right!
