I went 13-2 in high school football this past weekend to bring my overall record to 46-15.

I mentioned last week that it was refreshing hearing the fans at Spartan Stadium singing the National Anthem when the singer’s mic wasn’t working properly before the Castleton-Norwich football game. It was refreshing because of  so much disrespect shown to the flag and the Anthem in so many venues nowadays.

NFL players do have a right to kneel during the National Anthem and I do support their right to do it. I just don’t agree with it.

I will say again that despite the reasons people may have it is disrespectful. That’s my opinion and my freedom of speech.

I will still watch NFL games because I enjoy it and it is at least part of my job.

By the way those pictures you see on social media of people sitting at home during the National Anthem on TV is not the same thing. I sit during the National Anthem on TV and I will admit that I’m not always paying complete attention, but that is the result of being lazy. It has nothing to do with being disrespectful. It has nothing to do with any political agenda. Please people!!

One last thing. There was a game played in London yesterday morning and many players were kneeling during the American National Anthem. Again that is their right, but why kneel during the American National Anthem and yet stand at attention during the British Anthem? Why not protest that one too? There were many bad things about the “British Empire” and if I remember correctly they at one time virtually ruled the world. I was just wondering!
