I’ve said it before and I will continue to say it until it stops even though I know it never will. Social media to me has proven how dumb the public is, not how dumb the media is. The news media is one thing, but this is a sports column so I will concentrate on that. The constant bashing of Hall of Fame broadcasters by people who know nothing about the subject is astounding to me. Joe Buck is an example. He is as good as it gets in the broadcasting industry. He’s constantly criticized by the public and I don’t get it. I’ve made that point many times, but here is the latest post I saw that leaves me to think there is no hope for people and I mean it. Somebody had the audacity to write that the Patriots are putting in new turf at Gillette Stadium because it’s an excuse for losing the game last week. You have got to be kidding me. Let me say again….YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! There were actually people who agreed with that statement too which blows me away. These people have no credibility! NONE!

It’s so ridiculous that I shouldn’t be commenting on it, but I have to. I just can’t let that one go by.

By the way the Patriots have won five Super Bowls. They won the last one and two of the last three. They don’t need to make excuses for anything!!!
