The NHL Stanley Cup Finals are so much better than the NBA Finals. It isn’t even close on the excitement scale. Even Charles Barkley loves it and says there is nothing more exciting than NHL playoff hockey in overtime.

Charles said that to Barry Melrose on ESPN. It was a great conversation. Wow would I love to have a beer with Charles Barkley and Barry Melrose. They are both great!!!

Now which event draws a bigger TV audience is another thing. The first two games of the NBA Finals have averaged 19.6 million viewers, a 5% increase over last year’s finals and the most since Michael Jordan’s last title with the Chicago Bulls against Utah in 1998. The NBA will always be more popular than the NHL, but fans who don’t watch the NHL just don’t know what they are missing!
