Boy’s Hoops: BFA Tops Middlebury For The Second Time in 6 Days

ST. ALBANS — Going into last Saturday’s home game against the BFA-St.Albans Bobwhites The Middlebury Union High School Tigers had only lost two games all season. Now in the space of six days they have lost two more, both of them to the Bobwhites.

BFA won that game Saturday in overtime, but on Thursday night they jumped into a lead early and never backed off, rolling to 59-38 victory over the Tigers inside the BFA Gym.

The Bobwhites outscored Middlebury 14-8 in each of the first two quarters for a 28-16 lead at halftime, then held off a brief Tigers pushback early in the third quarter before building their lead back to 12 after three, then pushed it past twenty down the stretch.

Kameron Dunsmore led BFA attack with 19 points, while Logan Tobin added 12, Taylor Yates contributed 11, and Landon Potvin and Nick Voyer each chipped in eight.

Tyler Buxton was the only Tiger in double figures with 11.

With the win, their eighth in a row and 10th in their last 11, BFA improves to 11-8 on the season. Middlebury slips to 15-4. Both teams have one regular season game remaining.
