YES!

Sanity reigns! The powers that be in Major League Baseball and the leadership of the players union have reached agreement on a new five year collective bargaining agreement.  There will be no strike. There will be no lockout. There. It is done.

You never really expected there would be an issue. Baseball is making way too much money and the game is coming off its highest rated World Series in decades. Both sides had way too much to lose and really nothing of signifigence to gain.

As the negotiations dragged on and on you had to wonder what MIGHT be happening. But not a problem. Done deal! 26 years of labor peace. Bring on the Winter Meetings next week! Crank up the Hot Stove!

Now what will it cost the Red Sox to get Mark Melancon and Chris Sale.
