HS Football: Seahorses Race Past Vikings 42-6

Burlington — Sophomore running back Kevin Garrison scored three touchdowns and junior quarterback Peter Labracio threw for three scores as the Burlington Seahorses topped rolled past the Lyndon Institute Vikings 42-6 on Saturday evening on Buck Hard Field.

Labracio connected with Alex Cate on a 14 yard touchdown pass with just over five minutes left in the first quarter and then tossed a swing pass out to Garrison, who broke five tackles on a 39 yard scamper for a 14-0 lead less than four minutes later as BHS jumped into a 14-0 first quarter lead. Garrison then scored on a three yard run and Labracio hooked up with Zach Mazuzan on a 14 yard TD pass for a 28-0 BHS lead at the half.

Garrison’s nine yard third quarter run and an eleven yard Nelson Nyal fourth quarter run completed the BHS scoring. LI got on the board on a two yard run by Collin Deluca with 8:54 left to play.

With the win Burlington is 3-0. Lyndon slips to 1-2.
