HS Football: Huge Night by Kenosh Carries Raiders Past SB 69-38

South Burlington — Quarterback Andy Kenosh passed for three touchdowns and ran for three more, carrying the Rutland Raiders past the South Burlington Rebels 69-38 in a wild Friday night shootout at the Rebel Field.

Kenosh ran for touchdowns of nine and four yards, and hooked up with Kyle Cassarino on a 38 yard touchdown pass while hitting Cam Slade on 21 and 33 yard TD strikes as the visitors roared away to a 35-16 halftime lead. The Raiders senior then shifted his attention to the defensive side of the ball, intercepting two third quarter passes, using one of the picks to set up his third rushing TD of the night on a two yard run late in the third quarter. Kenosh punctuated his big night with seven extra point kicks and a two point conversion pass to tightend Austin O’Gorman.

Caleb White ( one yard run), Max Pockette (seven yard run), Hunter Hubbard (43 yard run), and Jared Miglorie (16 yard run) also scored for the Raiders.

Quarterback Tom DeMag threw a pair of TD passes (30 yards to Nick Liscinsky and 40 yards to Rye Thayer) and ran 30 yards to pay dirt for the Rebels, while running back Colby Barrett added a pair of five yard runs for the other two SB scores.

With the win Rutland improves to 2-1, 2-0 against Vermont competition. South Burlington is 0-3.
