Johan Janaro’s goal at 5:43 of the third completed the scoring.
Erik Short made 24 saves in net to record the shutout for the Hornets. Michael Baechle stopped 22 shots in the loss for South Burlington. With the win Essex is now 7-3-1. SB slips to 5-3-3.
