What they say is true … all good things must come to an end, and so it is for the Norwich University hockey Cadets streak of regular season titles … the Cadets run of 17 straight will end this month … Norwich was officially eliminated on Saturday.

It has been a frustrating campaign for Norwich … a season filled with injuries , cross bars, goal posts, and disappointing nights. Could they have won more games this is season? Yup. Have they deserved most of the loses they have suffered? Yup again.

But while another regular season title will not be in the cards the season will not end on the final day of the regular season. The playoffs still await, and with them the chance for redemption. Get healthy …tighten up in their own end, and be the team no one wants to play in the second season.
It will be different, but it could still be a lot of fun.
