Here’s hoping that the latest snowstorm holds off. I don’t mind the snow because it snows in Vermont, I just don’t want it to interfere with the tournament games and it already has!
Rutland takes on St. Johnsbury in the D1 boys basketball semi’s tonight at 6 at UVM. The game will be audio cast free of charge on nsnsports.net. Rutland is 15-18 in semi-final appearances and St. Johnsbury is 7-6 in the semi’s that includes a 4-0 record against Rutland.
The top three seeds have been in the semi’s for 11 straight years and it’s the 4th straight year that the top four seeds have been in the semi’s.
Two state championship girls basketball games tonight at the Barre Auditorium. At 5:30 MSJ vs. Blue Montain as MSJ looks for its 4th straight Division 4 state championship.
At 8:15 it’s the Division 2 state title game as Fair Haven will meet Mt. Abraham. Mt. Abraham is coached by the legendary Connie LaRose who will be inducted into the 2018 VPA Hall of Fame on May 4th.
The Yankees just got stronger as they signed 2nd baseman Neil Walker to a one year 5 Million dollar contract. Good move, good player!
