Somebody I know wrote on social media that Dave O’Brien should not have said the “Friendly Confines” of Fenway Park because that is a term used by Wrigley Field. He called it “sloppy broadcasting.” Really? Come on! It always seems to be “Open Season” on announcers.Yesterday I also saw somebody trashing the announcers on the Master’s coverage. Please!
I’ve said before social media hasn’t exposed the media, social media has exposed the public. For the life of me I don’t understand why the public thinks that they are experts on announcing. I will never get it!
