Boys Lax: Stratton Takes First D-3 Title, Whips Hartford 10–0

Burlington — The Stratton Mountain School claimed the first ever VPA Division 3 lacrosse championship on Tuesday afternoon, shutting out the Hartford Hurricanes 10-0 on Buck Hard Field. Liam MacNamara and Hunter Roderick each scored three goals and stuart Olson added a pair as the Bears rolled to the win.

Stratton scored three first quarter goals for a 3-0 halftime lead. They added three goals in the third quarter, and then after an hour lightning delay in the fourth, they erupted for four scores to win going away. Goalkeeper Jack Alpert tossed the shutout for the Bears, while Chris Dorain put in a strong effort in the cage in a losing cause for Hartford.

The Bears end the season at 12-3. Hartford finishes up 10-6.
