In boys basketball last night in the D2 semis #5 MSJ defeated #1 seed Mill River 47-40. I thought Mill River would win the game last night, but I’m not surprised MSJ won. The two regular season games were close.

In my neck of the woods with all the hoopla about boys basketball, the success of the Rutland High girls hockey team has kind of got lost in the shuffle. Rutland defeated Middlebury 1-0 in the D1 semi last night. Middlebury had defeated Rutland and had tied with Rutland during the regular season. tough to beat a team twice and also tie a team in the same season. Just kidding!

I think Rutland and CVU both win tonight in the D1 boys basketball semis and will meet for the state championship on Monday night!
