One of the most annoying comments I read on social media [And believe me a lot of things annoy me on social media especially in sports and politics] is “It’s only May” when referring to early season success in baseball. Most of the time that is pointed to Red Sox fans. I thought 2004,2007 and 2013 took care of those comments forever, but I guess I’m wrong.

Anyway a few points:

#1 Everybody knows it’s only May! GEEEEZ!!!

#2 All baseball fans do it, not just Red sox fans! GEEEEZ!!!

Finally if you’re going to point fingers do it to Chicago fans both on the Northside and the Southside!

How many times have you heard it’s going to be a Cubs-White Sox World Series!! Come on Chicago fans, It’s only May!!!
