Look What Happened While I Was Sleeping!

By Jack Healey
Yes I’ll admit it I was sleeping when the Red Sox clinched the American League Division Series last night against the Yankees. A good thing too because I don’t know what I would’ve done during the stressful 9th inning. I was sleeping as the Red Sox clobbered the Yankees the night before too. Let me explain I get up at 2:30 in the morning so I have to get a good night’s rest. However, I do have this internal clock so I have a knack of getting up in the middle of the night and of course I have to check how the Sox are doing. I’m thinking did they win or lose as I sheepishly look at clues on my phone to see what happened before I finally click in to my ESPN app. Of course once I knew they won I stayed up to watch as many post game shows as I could before I went back to bed where I was for about 10 minutes before I had to get up for the day.So it’s the Sox and Houston in the American league championship Series and I have to go with Houston in 6. I’m also going with Milwaukee in 6.
Was Brock Holt’s cycle the other night fake because the home run Holt hit came off a position player?
Of course not. Position players don’t give up home runs every time they pitch and they do get hitters out so what’s the problem? of course a certain Boston Sports talk Show had to stay on that theme all day long yesterday. Ridiculous!
Looking to the Houston series I’m looking for the Sox to go with Sale in game #1, Nathan Eovaldi in game #2, Rick Porcello in game #3 and I think David Price will go in game #4. I think Price will be available out of the bull pen too.
