It’s the American League Wild Card game tonight as the Yankees host Minnesota. The Yankees have dominated the Twins over the years in the playoffs and just swept them at home a couple of weeks ago. All that is nice, but here I will remind you again that all that doesn’t mean a thing tonight. Not a thing.

That being said I have to go with the Yankees tonight because they are better, but I won’t be completely shocked if Minnesota wins!

I went 9-7 in the NFL picks this week and I now stand at 38-25.

The tragedy in Las Vegas hit home yesterday when it was announced that one of the victims was Sandy Casey originally from Dorset. Sandy  graduated from Burr and Burton in Manchester and played basketball there for Coach Steve Houghton. She graduated from the College of St. Joseph in Rutland in 2004 and played basketball at St. Joes for Jo Jo Valente who is a teacher at Mill River. She still has family in the Dorset and Rutland area.

Sandy was currently a Special Ed teacher in Manhattan Beach, California.

My deepest sympathies go out to Sandy’s family.
