Ordinarily I would say he pitched well enough to lose, but Doug Fister was real good in his Red Sox debut. I wanted the Red Sox to sign Fister a couple of years ago and I always liked him.

Of course the problem hasn’t been pitching, it’s the offense and the Sox have to get something out of third base.

The Sox signed Jhonny Peralta to a minor league contract and barring a major trade down the line maybe Peralta has something left in the tank and they can catch lightning in a bottle.

Every Red Sox fans knows that 1967 changed everything for the franchise as we now know it. Every Red Sox fan should know who the manager was that year. Apparently not because the poll on NESN yesterday gave two choices…Billy Hermans and Dick Williams. A 50-50 chance to get it right, but Dick Williams got 93% of the votes. Right answer, but it should’ve been 100% with no multiple choice. Unbelievable! Really Unbelievable!
