How does it go again? If the groundhog sees his shadow we have six more weeks of winter or is it the other way around? I’ve never been able to get that straight.

I’ve mentioned before that I don’t watch a lot of the pre Super Bowl hype, but what I do watch sometimes makes me want to shake my head.

Despite what you might hear on the Felger and Mazz Show out of the Sports Hub in Boston:

No Patriot fans and certainly not Patriot players are assuming they are going to win the Super Bowl or have it already won. Felger and Mazz keep saying that because they want to keep the story going. Geez talk about fake news. I think there is a strong possibility that the Patriots will lose so personally I’m not assuming anything and most Patriot fans feel the same way. Hey Felger and Mazz the fans aren’t as stupid as you think!

No it’s not fair to keep bugging Tom Brady about his political point of view. He doesn’t talk about politics. It’s not as if he spouts his mouth off every day about anything political. This isn’t Curt Schilling where he might be fair game because he’s always talking about his political point of view, but not Brady. It’s not even close!

I think I might’ve mentioned before this week that “Deflategate” won’t die because you guys won’t let it die.

On a different note Felger’s criticism of the Red Sox’ celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1967 “Impossible Dream” is ridiculous because they didn’t end up winning the World Series. Generally I would agree with that as celebrations of the 75 and 86 teams are over the top because they didn’t win the World Series, but 1967 is different. Anybody, especially of my generation, who grew up a Sox fan and who is a native New Englander  understands how special that year and that team was. Felger doesn’t get it, he grew up in Milwaukee. Mazz ought to understand, he’s a New Englander and should know  better. I think it really stinks that he doesn’t stand up to Felger on that issue.
