FOOTBALL,FOOTBALL,FOOTBALL OH MY!

By Jack Healey
I made my predictions here yesterday, but it should be a great day in high school football tomorrow at Rutland’s Alumni Field.

All three games are intriguing and they should be great!

Division 2 at 11AM as it’s #1 Brattleboro vs. #3 Bellows Falls in the “All Purple Championship Game”

Division 3 at 2PM as it’s #1 Poultney vs. 32 BFA-Fairfax/Lamoille

Division 1 at 5PM as its #1 St. Johnsbury vs. #2 Burr and Burton

All three games are rematches of regular season games

All the games will be pay per view at nfhsnetwork.com Check out vpaonline.org for more information.

Even though it might not be the best place for the media because as usually is the case in most high school press boxes there just isn’t enough room for everybody, but the experience for the spectators and players is fantastic! Rutland High School Alumni Field is a tremendous facility and the venue is second to none. The Rutland High folks do a tremendous job hosting championship football day!

The national media in college football is focused on unbeaten Alabama vs.unbeaten LSU, but I’m more interested in the Ivy League battle between undefeated Dartmouth and undefeated Princeton at Yankee Stadium tomorrow at 3:30 on ESPNU

The game will be a Dartmouth home game so the Public Address announcer will be Rutland native and MSJ grad John Cameron. John has been the PA announcer for Dartmouth football and hockey and the Shrine Game for several years. John is the cousin of former MSJ and Fair Haven head football coach and Castleton offensive coordinator Brian Grady. Another cousin is WSYB’s Mike Cameron.

Are you ready for some football?
