NEW LONDON, CT. — Junior forward Amanda Conway (Methuen, Mass.) of the Norwich University women’s ice hockey team scored twice to lead the Cadets to a 2-0 victory over Conn. College in non-league action on Tuesday night at Dayton Arena.

Conway scored an unassisted goal at the 17:02 mark of the first period to give Norwich (8-2-0, 7-0-0 NEHC) a lead it would never look back from.

She then scored again with an insurance goal at the 6:49 mark of the third period for her second of the game and team-leading 12th goal of the year. Alyssa Hulst (Scarborough, Maine) and Sophie McGovern (Hermantown, Minn.) picked up the assists on the goal.

Sophomore Emily Lambert (Riverview, Mich.) made 24 saves to pick up her second shutout of the season to help lead the Cadets to the win despite being outshot 24-15 in the game.

Norwich extended its winning streak to six straight games with the win and won its second straight vs. Conn. College after also topping the Camels 4-2 last year at Kreitzberg Arena.

Norwich will continue its busy week to close the first half of the season by hosting Suffolk University at 7 p.m. on Friday and then UMass Boston on Saturday at 3 p.m.
