Burlington — Published reports in the Burlington Free Press indicate that Senior Associate Athletic Director Jeff Schulman is the lone finalist recommended by a search committee to succeed Dr. Robert Corran as the Athletic Director of the University of Vermont.
A memo released Friday afternoon says that Schulman is the lone candidate recommended by the committee for a second round of on campus interviews. The committee recently completed interviews with eight semi-finalists for the job, and Schulman, a four year hockey player at UVM in the 80’s and a part of the athletic department since 1993, was the only candidate recommended to move on the next step.
That next phase will begin with direct meetings with coaches, administrators and student leaders on Tuesday. There will also a forum open to the public on Tuesday afternoon at the Davis Center on campus.
