George Commo’ Blog – Sunday Afternoon 10/16/16

A couple of huge games over the weekend have brought some clarity to the Vermont high school football picture … certainly Hartford’s big come from behind win at St. Johnsbury went a long way toward establishing the pecking order in Division One … but next weekend is where the picture across the board should come fully clear.

Tip your cap to the schedule maker … there are two obvious classic matchups … Burr & Burton/Bellows Falls in Division Two and Windsor/Woodstock in Division Three.     But you look at some of the other games … Hartford/Rutland, CVU/Middlebury and Colchester/BFA St. Albans in D-1 … Fair Haven/Burlington in Divison Two … Mill River/Otter Valley, and Springfield/Spaulding in D-3 … all games with bigtime playoff ramifications.

I won’t try to explain all of the QPR formulas and playoff possibilities … I don’t think I could do it if I tried. Besides, number one son Kevin Commo has done a great job of it on his blog at greenmtgridiron.blogspot.com . Bottom line … the last week of the regular season in Divisions One and Three … the penultimate week in Division Two … looks like a ton of must see football.
