Beth Mowins is getting a lot of criticism for her play by play on the Jets-Detroit game last night.She wasn’t terrible. It’s funny about play by play. Everybody thinks they can do it. Anybody can be a disc jockey, but not everybody can do play by play.
Sam Darnold was pretty good in his debut last night, but don’t put him in Canton just yet. I can throw against a Matt Patricia defense. What did the Detroit Lions see in him? The Matt Patricia defense cost the Patriots the Super Bowl last year and the Patriots won despite him in their previous two Super Bowl wins.
Detroit’s offense wasn’t very good either for that matter.
Jessica Mendoza said on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball that there wasn’t a bad seat in the house at Fenway Park. I guess she’s never sat behind a post where you can’t see half the field. Fenway holds about 36,000 and there are probably 10,000 that are decent. I should know I’ve sat in just about every one of them.
It’s hard to believe that it has been 17 years since the “Day The World Stopped Turning.” September 11th, 2001. We will never forget.
