Well there will be a game 7 in the Celtics-Philly series and as
I've said before the Celtics have nobody to blame but themselves to be
in this position.
I'll say again that Doug Collins is a great coach and for the
most part has out coached Doc Rivers big time in this series.
Here's cliche #1 .... Anything can happen in a game 7, but
you certainly want to have a game 7 at home especially in the NBA
Yesterday I thought that Miami's Udonis Haslem and Dexter
Pittman and Indiana's Tyler Hansbrough would all get a one game
suspension even though I didn't think Hansbrough's foul was that bad.
I figured they would just give a one game suspension to everybody
involved.
The NBA handed down suspensions yesterday and Pittman got
three games, Haslem got one game and Hansbrough didn't get any. I
didn't think they would, but the NBA got it right on this one.
Daniel Bard did pitch well enough to win, but he
stunk the joint out again yesterday. Hey Daniel, how about using that
98 MPH fastball you have at least once in awhile. By the way how about
throwing strikes too.
Bobby Valentine's comment after the game in which he
said something to the effect of " if we play like this the rest of the
season, we're going to win the championship" was bad because why?
Andy Pettitte is 2-1 with an ERA of 2.53. Why did
he retire?
New Jersey is up 3 games to 2 on the Rangers in the
Eastern Conference Finals. The Devils blew a 3 goal lead, but to their
credit came back to win game 5 last night.
