For years I have always thought that when it came to journalistic integrity the New York Post and the New York Daily News were the bottom of the barrel. Yes I do like a few of the columnists and I do like their sense of humor when it comes to their headlines some of which have given me quite a chuckle over the years. I got a chuckle yesterday, but not in a HA HA that's funny sort of way as both papers had headlines that completely misconstrued Tom Brady's comments at a Super Bowl send off rally on Sunday. Brady said something to the effect that he hopes there will be a bigger party next week. No he wasn't taunting, no he wasn't guaranteeing anything, no it was not bulletin board material, it was just an average run of the mill comment that has been said at pep rallies for hundreds of years. Geez! Talk about twisting somebody's words around. It's amazing to me that both newspapers did it.
On 2nd thought, it shouldn't be that amazing to me because both those " Yellow Journalism" tabloids have been doing that as far back as I can remember. Yea I know they're trying to sell newspapers, but tell the truth once in awhile.
By the way I'm not a big fan of the New York Times either, but for different reasons that I won't go into here.
For being the "Media Capital of the World", New York sure has some lousy media.!
