It is the universal question this morning ... I guarantee you somewhere out there today someone will come up to you and ask you, "How's your bracket?." In the media driven great American Hype Fest that is the NCAA Basketball Tournament it is obligatory. Gotta watch THE TOURNAMENT! ... everyone watches THE TOURNAMENT! You gotta love THE TOURNAMENT!
Hey I enjoy THE TOURNAMENT! There always some thrillers ... some shockers ... some upsets ... there is always some exciting action ... it just drives me nuts sometimes that the country just stops dead for this thing. Did you realize that there was no Channel 3 Late News last night? ... no CBS Evening News last night? Nope, can't do it ... THE TOURNAMENT!
So anyway I watched THE TOURNAMENT! yesterday and last night ... I watched it exclusively until the WCHA Final Five Tournament came on on Fox Sports Channel ... HOCKEY, YES!!! From that point I went back and forth ... also spent a fair amount of time on the Bruins game, and a couple of other NHL games. Today it will be THE TOURNAMENT! ... along with the Hockey East, ECAC and WCHA events, plus the Middlebury game in the D-3 TOURNAMENT on my laptop!! Sports viewing at the Commo Family Mansion ... Fair and Balanced!
Oh, as to my bracket? I went 11-5 ... would have been 12-4 if Davidson had held on. As often happens in THE TOURNAMENT! I found myself rooting against myself watching the Harvard game ... Great win for the Crimson!

So now it's not ESPN, but CBS who's created the "Hype fest". Do you know why they have the games on 4 different networks? Because there's a demand for it! So the hype is created by all the alums of the 64 teams playing in the round of 64. Give Darren Perron the night off. And you catch up on the news on somewhere else.
