The CVU Redhawks have seized control of the Division One girls basketball race ... their 46-34 win over Essex last night ran their record to 10-0 ... their top challengers ... including the Hornets, Rice, and BFA-St. Albans are all pretty good, but right now at the mid-point in the season CVU is the team to beat.

No one goes unbeaten in college basketball anymore so it shouldn't have come as much of a surprise to hear that the top ranked Middlebury Panthers were beaten 77-76 by Keene State last night. On the road ... against a solid 13-5 team ... hey it happens. No one said the road back to the Final Four was going to be easy ... there are a lot of obstacles along the way ... but I still like Middlebury's chances.
