I was half right on Saturday ... Kentucky won.
For a half it looked like it would be Ohio State too, as predicted ... but the Kansas Jayhawks blew that up with a big second half and have advanced to meet the Wildcats in tonight's Championship Game in New Orleans. Yup its UK vs. KU for the big trophy.
It has been strange watching Kansas throughout this tournament ... time and again KU has played lousy first halves, only to rally after the break and pull out the win. I don't think that is a game plan that will work tonight against UK. Actually I don't think there is any game plan that will beat John Calipari's machine. I've said Kentucky right from the beginning ... not going to change now. UK 78 KU 68.

The Red Sox have announced the winners of the spring training long starting rotation sweepstakes ... Felix Doubront and Daniel Bard will join Lester, Beckett and Buchholz in the rotation when the team begins the regular season the end of this week. Alfredo Aceves goes back to the bullpen ... Aaron Cooke will start the season in Florida but may yet have a role with the big club. Of more immediate concern for the Sox the status of new closer Andrew Bailey ... sent back to Boston for medical tests just four days before the start of the regular season.

The final roster has been announced for Team U-S-A for the women's World Hockey Championships. The tournament begins this weekend in Burlington.
