I can't believe the Red Sox got Chris Carpenter as compensation for Theo Epstein!

Wait a minute, not that Chris Carpenter? Never mind! The Sox didn't get enough as compensation unless the player to be named later is the next Ted Williams. Whatever, it's time to move on.

A stunning loss by the University of Vermont mens basketball team to Binghamton last night. It was Binghamton's first win of the year. Barring a miracle UVM will likely be the #2 seed and not the #1 seed in the America East Tournament.

Castleton will host the NAC Final Four in both mens and womens basketball this Friday and Saturday. NSN will be video casting the Castleton Final Four games and both finals regardless of the teams playing as of right now.

The Shrine game rosters have been announced. The Vermont roster is psted on our nsnsports.net website.

This year the Shrine game will go back to 15 minute quarters. !2 minute quarters were used last year for the first time and apparently for the only time.

If the game is tied after regulation there will be overtime. There have been two Shrine games that have ended in a tie.

If one team is leading by 30 or more points in the 2nd half there willl be running time.

The game as you know will be moving back to Dartmouth's Memorial Field.

Castleton mens hockey coach Alex Todd will be our guest this morning on "The Really Big Sports Show."
