The Concord girls basketball team is coming off their best season in team history when they finished 14-6.
With the loss of one of the most dominate players in Division IV, Becca Young, the Wildcats will need a number of players to step up this season if they are to repeat a season of success like last year.
The Wildcats will look for Kasey DeGreenia to step up big in replacing Young in the post but will also need contributions from players like Ashley Young, Emily Harran and Ashley Miles.
Shannon McCullough, who brings 15 years of coaching experience to Concord, will take the reins from Jeremiah Powell and is optimistic about the upcoming season.
“Our team is mostly freshman but they are all very dedicated and talented,” McCullough said. “As the season progresses I am really looking forward to seeing this team come together.”
The Wildcats will open their season on Tuesday when they take on Mid Vermont.
