Five-run fifth lifts Vikes over Oxbow

The Lyndon Institute Vikings scored five runs in the fifth inning and that proved to be the difference maker on Saturday as they took down visiting Oxbow, 6-4, in baseball action.

Lyndon five run fifth was highlighted by an RT Trucott RBI double which proved to be the game-winner while the Vikes knocked four hits in the frame and took advantage of a walk, a hit by pitch and a Olympians error.

Davis Guyer earned the complete game victory on the hill for LI as the sophomore scattered just five hits and allowed just two earned runs while striking out eight.

Logan LaPerle collected three of Oxbow's five hits on the day.

LI improves to 5-4 while Oxbow dips to 3-4.
