Twin Valley found themselves in a 13-13 tie with No. 3-ranked Danville after the first quarter of play but the Indians showed why they are one of the top teams in Div. IV as they rolled to a 71-38 victory.
Danville's offense started to catch its stride in the second quarter and thanks to a last second three pointer by Brady Rainville to end the half, the Indians had created breathing room heading into the third quarter. In the third the DHS squad really let loose, scoring 22 points, 10 coming from Tony Burrington who finished with a game-high 19 points. Kyle Johnson added 10 for Danville, who had 11 players reach the scoring column.
The slow start for Danville might be due to their week layoff but coach Scott Rainville credited the Chris Brown coaches Twin Valley squad for playing scrappy.
Scott Remick continued to be the floor leader for Danville and as coach Rainville put it he continues to be an "assist machine." Remick had 10 assists along with eight boards and six points.
Quarterfinal action puts Danville against South Royalton on Sunday in Danville. The 16-5 Indians will look for a return trip to the Barre Aud. The Indians were last season's Div. IV runner's up. Twin Valley ends their season at 5-16.
