Indians pound Northfield

The Danville Indians exploded offensively to earn a dominating victory over Northfield, 83-33. 

 

Tony Burrington and Andy Towle combinged to scored 18 first-quarter points as the Indians jumped ahead 26-4 after one quarter of play. It continued to be all DHS from that point.

 

Burrington ended with a game-high 21 points while Towle finished with 18. Teammate Kyle Johnson added 15 for Danville who had nine players reach the scoring column. 

 

Zach Daley was the lone Marauder in double-figures as he tossed in 10 points including an 8-for-10 performance from the charity stripe. 

 

"Jacob Roy and Andy Towle did real nice on the offensive end as well as getting rebounds," DHS coach Scott Rainville said of a pair of seniors on senior night at DHS. "I like our team's intensity from start to finish."

 

DHS took advantage of foul trouble for Northfield as they cashed in 24 times from the free throw line and forced the Marauders to play with just four players in the fourth quarter.
