Anderson Scores Twice as Cadets Outshoot Pilgrims 64-17

Henniker, NH --- Freshman winger Kaycie Anderson scored a pair of goals and seven of her teammates also lit the lamp as the Norwich University women's hockey team completed an ECAC East weekend sweep, whipping New England College on Saturday afternoon 8-1.

Norwich got on the board in the first period on a goal by Jackie Perez, their only goal in the first twenty minutes despite a 26 shot onslaught against Pilgrims netminder Teraysa Whiite. But NU broke through in the second, with Anderon, Kayla Lascelle and Tyne Gove liighting the lamp for a 4-0 lead after two. NU then blew it open in the third as Anderson netted her second of the day and Julie Fortier, Melissa Rundlett and Rene Lortie finished off the scoring.

In net Kelly Fisk stopped 16 of 17 NEC shots for the win. Norwich outshot the Pilgrims 64-17. With the win the Cadets are 3-1 on the season ... 2-0 in ECAC East play.
