Former Norwich University star Keith Aucoin is going to get another shot at the National Hockey League. The 33 year old Aucoin was recalled on Thursday by the Washington Capitals. Playing in Hershey, Pa. Aucoin was leading the American Hockey League in scoring with 11 goals and 59 assists for 70 points in 43 games at the time of his call up.

Aucoin, the 5-8 buzz-saw who is Norwich's all time leading scorer with 116 goals, 124 assists and 240 points, has had several cups of coffee in an NHL career in which he has seen duty in Washington and Carolina, appearing in a total of 75 games. If he gets into the lineup in Caps games this weekend in Montreal Saturday night or in Washington against the Bruins on Sunday it will mark his first NHL game since December 28th, 2010.
