Men’s Basketball: Norwich Holds Off Suffolk, 67-64

NORTHFIELD – Sophomore guard Tom McDonald scored a game-high 30 points to help the Norwich University men's basketball team get past Suffolk University, 67-64, Thursday night at Andrews Gymnasium.  The win moves the Cadets to 2-3 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play and 3-8 overall.

Freshman forward Evan Tullar added 10 points for Norwich while Leland Brunswick, Everett Ramirez and Brandon Kuhre all had seven points. Brunswick also grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.

Suffolk (5-7, 2-4 GNAC) was paced by Chris Torres' 19 points. Matt Pepdjonovic pulled down a game-high 21 boards for the Rams.

NU travels to Standish, Maine on Jan. 14 to take on conference foe St. Joseph's. Tipoff for the afternoon game is scheduled for 3 p.m.
