Surgery Completed on Knee

University of Vermont men's basketball forward Ben Crenca will miss two to three more weeks after surgery on his knee ... this statement was issued this afternoon by UVM's Head Athletic Trainer Allison Shepard ...

"Ben Crenca had surgery on Monday to alleviate symptoms from a torn meniscus. He is expected to return to basketball in 2 to 3 weeks."

Crenca injured the knee last week. He scored four points and pulled down six rebounds in 16 minutes against #25 Harvard and then added two points and a board in six minutes at Yale before coming out of the game for good.

Vermont faces five games over the next three weeks, starting with a matchup with the University of St. Louis in Missouri tomorrow night.
