Catamounts Fall to Boston U in Men's Soccer Action

BURLINGTON – Stephen Knox scored his fourth goal of the year in the 15th minute to lead the Boston University Terriers to a 1-0 victory over Vermont at Centennial Field in America East men's soccer action on Wednesday afternoon.

Boston U improves to 6-6-0 overall and 2-1-0 in league play, while the Catamounts fall to 6-6-0 and 1-2-0 in the conference.

Knox and teammate Colin Henry put together a give-and-go combination in the penalty box and Knox was able slot a low shot past UVM goalkeeper Dave Ramada.

The Terriers took the 1-0 lead into halftime and made it stand up in the second half.

Vermont had some scoring opportunities in the second stanza, but could not find the finishing touch.

Ramada finished the game with five stops in the Vermont net, while Nick Thomson was credited with seven saves for Boston U.

Vermont travels to Hartford for a 7 p.m. game against the Hawks on Saturday
