Dartmouth, UNH, Middlebury 1-2-3 After Day One

STOWE – The Dartmouth Big Green posted 204 points on the first day of the UVM Carnival at Stowe Mountain Resort to lead the event after the first day of racing. The Vermont Catamounts stand in fourth place with 148 points.
Friday featured the GS races for both the men's and women's alpine teams. Kevin Drury led the men to a 2-4-10 finish. He had the fastest second run of the day (1:01.58), which propelled him to a second place finish and a total time of 2:05.60.
Sean Higgins placed fourth after a strong second run time of 1:01.68 and a two-run total of 2:06.50. Newcomer Taylor Wunsch finished 10th at 2:07.50.
In the women's race, senior Amanda McDonald posted a solid race to finish 10th with a time of 2:13.59 to lead the Catamounts.
The UVM Carnival continues on Saturday (Feb. 4) with the slalom races on the Main Street course at Stowe and the Nordic classic races at Trapp Family Lodge. The schedule is as follows:
Saturday - Feb. 4
9:30 a.m. - Men's slalom 1st run, followed by women - Main Street course at Stowe
10:45 a.m. - Women's 5K classic at Trapp Family Lodge
12:30 p.m. - Men's slalom 2nd run, followed by men - Main Street course at Stowe
12:45 p.m. - Men's 10K classic at Trapp Family Lodge
Sunday - Feb. 5
10:45 a.m. - Women's 10K skate at Trapp Family Lodge
12:30 p.m. - Men's 10K skate at Trapp Famliy Lodge
