Middlebury --- For the first time in school history, the Middlebury College men's basketball team has risen to the top spot in the Division III national poll. In the December 6th D3Hoops.com poll, the Panthers received 13 of 25 first place votes to earn 612 points. Amherst was second with 10 first place votes and 599 points, followed by Virginia Wesleyan, Augustana and Wooster. The 5-0 Panthers will play their final home game of the semester tonight when they take on Johnson & Wales at 7:00 p.m.
