The Rice Green Knights held on to win their second lacrosse state championship, 10-9, over Green Mountain Valley in the boys Div. II lacrosse final while Chelsea outscored Oxbow 16-10 to earn their second title in the last three seasons.

David Sartorelli tallied three goals and Harry Foreman and Mack Yandow each had a pair of goals to lead the Green Knights. Yandow’s second goal, coming with just over nine minutes left in the game, proved to be the game-winner.
Hans Halvorson had three scores from Green Mountain Valley, who closes out 2011 with an 11-2 record.
Rice finishes the season as Div. II champions with a record of 18-1.
Girls
Chelsea 16 Oxbow 10
Michelle Upham and Whitney Ladd both put on a show as they scored five goals each to lead the Red Devils to the Div. II title, the fourth in school history. Jasmin Braman helped the effort with a four goal performance.
Reilly Johnson tossed in four goals to lead the Olympians, who finish the season at 16-2.
Chelsea’s championship victory closes out their season at 15-1.
