Yea Thunder and Lightning both won yesterday. Not surprised about Tampa Bay as the Lightning go up 3-2 in their NHL Stanley Cup Eastern Conference Finals Series. Just mildly surprised that the Thunder go up in their NBA Eastern Conference Finals Series 2-1. Really surprised at how easily they won though.

Jackie Bradley is closing in on DiMaggio’s long hitting streak. No not Joe’s as Jackie isn’t even halfway to his 56 game hitting streak, but after increasing his streak to 27 yesterday he is only 7 away from Dom DiMaggio’s Red Sox record of 34 straight!

Congratulations to former Rutland High standout Jake Eaton who had a great college career at quarterback at the University of Maine. Jake, who is the boys basketball coach of the two time defending Division 4 state championship Proctor High boys basketball team, will be inducted into the University of Maine Sports Hall of Fame in the fall.
